GENERAL PURCHASE CONDITIONS AT CASA SEUMA, SL (FINCA HOSTALETS)

1. Price lists  
All prices shown in our product list  www.hostalets.es  Prices include VAT in countries where it is applicable and are valid except for transcription errors or computer problems.  
This is because applicable taxes vary depending on the destination country . The final purchase summary displays the final price, including the applicable taxes based on the country selected in the shipping information.
Regarding Value Added Tax (VAT), as a general rule, the 10% tax rate will apply to food products within the European Union where this tax is applicable. Sales to any other country will not include VAT; however, the customs systems of each country will apply the corresponding import duties, which must be paid by the recipient of the goods upon arrival.
Due to their special tax regime, the Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla are considered non-EU territories. Therefore, purchases made by residents of these territories are exempt from VAT (customs clearance fees and import taxes are not included in the item price or shipping cost and must be paid by the recipient upon delivery).
Prices in dollars or other foreign currencies shown on the www.hostalets.es website are indicative and result from applying the daily exchange rate of the dollar with respect to the Euro, hence the possible price fluctuations.
The prices displayed on www.hostalets.es may be reviewed and modified at any time if conditions require it.

2. Payment systems
a) Bank transfer.
b) VISA or MASTERCARD credit card
c) PayPal.

a) Bank transfer
If you select bank transfer as your payment method, you must make the transfer to CASA SEUMA, SL to bank account number: ES6001821015030202515440

It is very important that you indicate the order number in the subject line, as well as your name and surname, and make the transfer within 3 days from the day you placed the order in order to validate it.
The order will not be considered effective until you send the transfer receipt by email to jose@fincahostalets.es and our bank confirms that the payment has been made.
Please remember that you must make the payment in euros and that any exchange and bank fees are your responsibility when choosing this payment method.

b) VISA or MASTERCARD credit card
By selecting the secure purchase option, we guarantee that every transaction for HOSTALETS 1898 Premium Organic Mediterranean Extra Virgin Olive Oil is 100% secure. All operations involving the transmission of personal or banking data are carried out in a secure environment. CASA SEUMA, SL, uses a server based on the standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) security technology. All information you send us is encrypted as it travels across the network.
Likewise, your credit card details are not recorded in any database but go directly to the POS (Point of Sale Terminal of the Bank).
We would also like to inform you that, in an effort to provide greater security for credit card holders, we have incorporated the secure payment system known as CES (Secure Electronic Commerce) into our payment gateway. Therefore, if you hold a "secured" card, you can always make payments with VISA or MASTERCARD in our store.
When paying with a VISA or MASTERCARD, you will always be asked for the following information: the card number, the expiry date, and a validation code, which corresponds to the last 3 digits of the number printed in italics on the back of your credit card, thus offering more guarantees about the security of the transaction.
What is CES (Secure Electronic Commerce)?
CES is a system for securing online transactions promoted by Visa International, Mastercard, Microsoft, and Netscape, among others. Its main purpose is to provide greater security for both internet users and online merchants by authenticating the buyer as the legitimate cardholder.
In practice, when paying with a "secured" VISA or MASTERCARD, you will be asked for a personal code, in addition to the card number and expiration date. This code, used exclusively for online purchases, uniquely identifies you as the cardholder. This way, no one can make an online purchase without knowing this code. You can identify whether the Secure Electronic Commerce protocol is activated by the VISA "Verified by VISA" and Mastercard "Mastercard SecureCode" logos.
If you haven't yet received a personal password for online payments, we recommend that you ask your financial institution to enroll your cards in the Secure Electronic Commerce service. You can do this by contacting your bank, or if you are an online banking customer, you can request it directly online.
Credit card fraud is a crime, and CASA SEUMA, SL, will take legal action against anyone who makes a fraudulent transaction in our online store.

c) Paypal

If you have a PayPal account, you can pay through it. In this case, the payment is also confirmed immediately and the order is processed quickly.

3. Shipping methods and delivery times
Due to the specialization and artisanal nature of the items offered at www.hostalets.es, orders arrive within approximately 10 to 15 business days, depending on product availability and destination countries.
CASA SEUMA, SL reserves the right to change the type of shipment and the company through which it is carried out, regardless of what is stated on these pages and provided that it does not cause manifest harm to the customer.

4. Warranty
Customers of CASA SEUMA, SL benefit from the trust our brand offers, as we handcraft top-quality products.
CASA SEUMA, SL guarantees the product under the legally established terms. The total liability of CASA SEUMA, SL for any reason whatsoever shall not exceed, under any circumstances, the total value of the defective product supplied. Defects caused by negligence, impact, or mishandling are not included and are also excluded from this warranty coverage.

5. Product returns and exchanges
Our customer service department has an after-sales service to solve any problems with our products or shipments, through which we try to offer fast and efficient service to our customers.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your order, you have 7 business days from the date of delivery to return it. (According to Article 44 of Law 7/1996, of January 15, on the Regulation of Retail Trade, as amended by Law 47/2002, of December 19).
You just need to send us the product in perfect condition and in its original packaging.
It is very important that you return the product(s) for exchange or refund in perfect packaging. If the products are damaged due to improper packaging, we will not accept the return.
Once we receive the merchandise in our warehouses and verify that all the above conditions are met, CASA SEUMA, SL will accept the return of the product and proceed to refund the amount according to the payment method used, and if applicable, send the new product.
Sometimes international shipments may incur additional customs fees or taxes in the destination country. If the order is not collected, no refund will be issued.

In the case of defective products or incorrect shipments, all shipping costs will be borne by CASA SEUMA, SL.

6. Limitation of liability
It is the customer's responsibility to be informed about the products manufactured by CASA SEUMA, SL. CASA SEUMA, SL disclaims all responsibility for the use our customers make of the distributed products.

7. Legislation and jurisdiction
These general terms and conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with current Spanish legislation on the matter, which shall apply subsidiarily to all matters not expressly provided for herein. (Primarily Law 34/2002 of July 11, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce)
